Make a Difference for Your Cause: Strategies for Nonprofit Engagement in Legislative Advocacy
CLPI developed this resource and discussion guide to motivate 501(c)(3) nonprofits in the U.S. to include legislative advocacy as a part of their core activities. The publication guides readers through steps of CLPI's "Road Map for Engagement in Legislative Advocacy." The steps are brief examinations of aspects of organizational capacity and strategy, with suggested next steps for each situation. This resource and discussion guide provides examples of nonprofits that have successfully used public policy engagement to meet their missions and presents six questions readers can use to stimulate discussion with others in their organizations.
