Advocacy by UK-Based Development NGOs

This article from Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly provides an overview of the advocacy activities of non-governmental organizations based in the United Kingdom, with a focus on issues of legitimacy, representation, and accountability. Using material from a recently completed research project, this study examines the growing advocacy work of UK NGOs, the position advocacy holds in their work, their efforts to collaborate, their relationships with donors, and their evaluation practices.
