Q: I see the "Donate Now!" button on your website, and I'm discouraged: Do I have to donate in order to be able to use Point K?
A: Think of Point K like your local public television or radio station: We're here for you, at no cost, whenever you need us—and your donations help keep it that way. The tools and resources now at Point K are still free for you to use, but they weren't free to build, and they aren't free to maintain. When you contribute to Point K, you’re supporting the community of over 8,000 people at 1,600 organizations worldwide who rely on Point K for evaluation tools and resources. Any donation amount is welcome. Read more about supporting Point K, or click here to donate through Network for Good.
Q: I tried to add my organization to Point K, but the system told me there was an error, and I couldn't tell what my error was. What can I do?
A: The most common reason for this error is the telephone number. Please try entering your phone number with no spaces or punctuation. [Here's why, if you're curious: Since the Point K community is international (with members in 58 countries and counting!), no single phone-number format will do. The form usually removes any non-numerical characters from the phone number, but sometimes browser or system settings don't allow this, and an error message is the result.]
Q: Help! I accidentally requested membership in someone else's organization, and couldn't figure out how to undo the request.
A: Don't worry: the organization administrator for that organization can simply decline your request for membership if they don't know who you are. Eventually, we would like to encourage more openness in the Point K community—for example, allowing you to share and review each other's logic models for similar programs—but that's still down the road, dependent on interest and funding.
Q: One of my colleagues registered for Point K and put three of our programs into the Logic Model Builder. She was our only administrator for Point K, and now she has left the organization. How can those of us who are still here edit the work she did?
A: It's an Administrator's responsibility to designate another Administrator on Point K before removing their own access. (This is done through the "Manage Membership" tab on your organization's Point K home page.) However, this doesn't always happen, as in cases of staff turnover. If you are stuck without access to your organization's work, contact us (info@innonet.org); we can promote another member of your organization to Administrator.
